40th anniversary tour
Cristoforo was on vacation in Switzerland and we decided we would plan a little tour on that 16th of July. A very nice surprise was that my wife and my brothers offered me a brand new racing bike as a birthday present.Lorenzo
joined in by surprise. He had managed to borrow an old road racing bike,
but it looked so unreliable that he finally chose to use his mountain bike
with slicks. This handicapped him over the Klausen pass, but the lower
gears allowed him to get over the Pragel pass much better.

needless to say that we totally underestimated the effort. we had calculated a max of 130 km and figured we would be back before 6 pm. we had reserved a table at a restaurant for 7 pm. well, the distance grew to 150 and pragel pass was much steeper than expected. we finally made it home for 9 pm and poor gabrielle had to cook a late dinner.
