Stage 1: Bourg St. Pierre (1630) - Col de Mille (2473) - Les Morgnes (1072) - Les Ruinettes (above Verbier, 2193). The ascent to Col de Mille included beautiful views and about 2 hours of pushing / carrying. Great downhill on the other side. Mostly dirt road.
Riding time: 11 hours, 2000 m climb.

Stage 2: Croix de Coeur (2174) - Super Nendaz (1728) - above Thyon (2200) - Grande Dixence (2364). The greatest was the single trail along the historic water conduits (bisses). We cheated in Super Nendaz by taking cair-lift to Thyon 2000. After that a nice rideable section followed by a few hours push and carry to the Gde. Dixence dam. We mostly followed the track of the yearly Tyhon-Dixence race.
Riding time: 13 hours, an estimated 1000 m climb by some ups and downs.

Stage 3: La Barma (2400) - Col de Riedmatten (hiking, 2919) - Arolla ( 2006) - Les Haudères (1436) - Col de Torrent (driving and hiking, 2919) - Grimentz (1564). We had birthday party guests waiting for us in Grimentz and needed to be there before 8 PM. This meant cheating again between Les Haudères and Villa, about a 600 m climb. While Riedmatten was definitely not rideable, Torrent could have been done. We would have had to push the bikes for the last 2 hours before the passs, but the downhill would have been a treat.
Riding and hiking time: 12 hours, 2100 m climb

   

Marche et vélo en Valais. Même en trichant un peu on a eu 36 heures d'éffort en trois jours. Un très beau trajet pour lequel il faudrait prévoir 4 jours si on veut le faire entièrement par ses propres muscles.
