The Alfasud was to remain the only utilitarian Alfa Romeo for a long time. In the 80ies Alfa had a few prototypes based on Nuova Giulietta, Alfa 90 and and Alfa 75. The 156 Sportwagon, the first mass-produced Alfa wagon, only came out in the year 2000, and was a huge success. One is compelled to ask: why not before?
