FLM Panelcraft converted this DB6 for an American owner , along with another one for F1 driver Innes Ireland. Serious damage at delivery prompted the owner to sell it. A painful odissey with several restoration attempts followed: someone even fitted DB5 wings. The current French owner had it rebuilt to original specs by Spraytech in 1999.

Other DB6 Shooting Brakes were produced by Radford of Hammersmith (UK). While five units went to the US, David Brown's family used one for many years.

Supplies of completed DB5's were exhausted, so Harold Radford carried on producing shooting brakes based on the DB6 with a total of four cars completed. But for the DB6 Shooting Brake, another independent coachbuilder, FLM (Panelcraft) Ltd. also completed three examples. These cars retained the distinctive DB6 Kamm tail above the tailgate and unlike the Radford's, had a split tailgate where the glass panel is hinged upwards, and the tail panel move down. Sadly, the side view of the cars is spoiled by clumsy window frames and a C pillar that was obviously then copied on the Austin Allegro Estate (read on astonmartins.com).
